Custom Ordering Information
If you are interested in placing a custom order for a Sewing or Jewelry item, please
- Send a query email to this address
- Include the name of the item you want in the subject line. This name is listed at the bottom of pages in the Sewing and Jewelry portfolios of the styles that I am willing to recreate.
- Include, in the body of the email, the URL of the page of the item style you want to further avoid confusion
- Mention also in the body of your email whether or not you have a deadline for your project. Please allow me at least four to six weeks after I have received the contract and upfront fees to complete your project.
After I have received your query letter, I will send you a project contract. This contract will need to be printed, signed, and mailed back to me before any work will begin on your project. Keep a copy of the contract for your records. All parts of the contract are non-negotiable. Also, I will require 50% of the quoted price for your project as well as shipping and handling fees (to be named in the contract) for return postage of your item(s). I accept US dollars only.
Once I have your contract on file and the required moneys in hand, I will begin working on your project. In the event that it is necessary, I will begin by sending you a sizing guide for your project. This will allow you to measure yourself and determine how much material you will need for your project. I will also include my mailing address so that you can send the materials to me. If measuring is not necessary, I will instead send you an email containing a list of materials I will need, how much of each will be necessary, and my mailing address so that you can ship them to me. The second half of the quoted price for your project will be due once you have received your completed order. I accept checks and PayPal. DO NOT MAIL CASH.
Because I don't want anyone commissioning a project without knowing my terms and conditions, here they are.
- I am providing labor only
- The client will provide all materials for each project
- I will not put any of my own money into any commissioned project
- If more materials are needed, I will alert the client so that they may ship them to me
- The client will pay all postage and shipping fees
- Work on commissioned projects will not begin until the signed contract, 50% of creation fees, and shipping and handling fees (to be named in the contract) have been received and successfully processed
- Any and all scraps and leftovers from the project will be reserved for future projects up to one month (30 days) of project completion
- A one month (30 day) extension will be granted if and only if:
- A new project is desired
- Said project cannot be paid for before the first month (30 days) has ended
- A query email for the new project is received no later than one week prior to the expiration of the first month (30 days) stating that the above two conditions have been met
- After the grace period has expired, the scraps and leftovers will be permanently added to my personal supplies
- There are no refunds or exchanges on any commissioned items
- All commissioned items have a one month (30 day) warranty. If repairs are necessary, the client will have to pay shipping both ways to have the item(s) fixed. Until this one month (30 day) warranty expires, all repairs will be free except for shipping charges. After that time, all repairs will be $10.00 USD per item; the client will still have to pay shipping both ways.
- If the contract signed by the client is in any way defaulted on, all monies already paid for the project, as well as all materials shipped to me for the project, as well as the final 50% of my creation fees are forfeit
- 50% of creation fees plus shipping and handling (to be named in the contract) will be required before work begins
- I reserve the right to photograph any project and display these pictures anywhere I want to. This includes custom designs created by people other than myself.
- I am not responsible if you send me incorrect or inaccurate measurements. Please check your measurements thoroughly before sending them to me.
